I took a sheet of pine 1/2 inch thick and burning a carving into the wood. The outlines of the figures are done in the ancient art of pyrography. The Egyptians, 5000 years ago used to color theirs with watercolor.
I painted in oil over the wood burning, being sure to leave some of the original wood grain exposed.
Tall narrow paintings are fantastic for home with no wall space. This can fit most anywhere.
The artwork is framed in simple black, adding a half inch around the perimeter. The artwork is ready to hang with wire.
